    The story seems to only discuss fluorescence, not glow in the dark characteristics.

      They do talk about various bio luminesence, and I think it works for other birds, just not us.Lots of other animals can see wavelengths of light that are invisible.....to most of us, some rumors of edge case humans seeing into the ultra violet, so perhaps there ARE people seeing things that are there, but have always been treated like they are seeing things that are not there :) smart ones would just shut up about it
